Meet the board member

Meet Amy, A Ride for Hope’s volunteer director! As a volunteer director, Amy recruits and trains volunteers for any of A Ride for Hope’s events and she also coordinates the basket raffle and door prize activities.

Amy works as an oncology nurse and firsthand sees the financial hardships many cancer patients are faced with when receiving treatment. Amy knew she wanted to join the A Ride for Hope team because she loves what the organization stands for and the fact that their work had a direct impact on the patients she was working with. When asked, Amy stated her favorite part about working for A Ride for Hope was being able to see the relief on a patient’s face as they received assistance from the organization.

When not dedicating her time to her patients or A Ride for Hope, Amy spends her free time reading, going for walks, and spending time with family & friends. Amy also has a passion for cooking and loves trying out new recipes for her family to try. One fun fact about Amy is that she was a color guard during high school!
